Art in the service of care: a wonderful initiative at the Hospices Civils de Lyon

Since October, the POP service (Multidisciplinary Oncology Platform) at the Hospices Civils de Lyon has been home to an Art For Science art library. Works carefully selected by the care teams themselves have been installed in each room of the department, printed on lightweight and elegant Aerpanel panels.

💬 “The caregivers were very receptive and were delighted to see their selection. They really appreciated the Airplac material, which is lightweight and easy to handle quickly,” says Catherine Lemaire from Art For Science, who initiated this art gallery that will be in place for one year before the works are renewed.

This hospital art library is part of an approach that aims to: ease pain, reduce stress, improve mental health, and contribute to patients’ well-being.

Art For Science, an association that combines art and neuroscience, demonstrates once again how art can have a positive impact on the brain and support care pathways.

A big thank you to Art for Science for sharing this project, to Serguei Piotrovitch from Orlik and to the Hospices Civils de Lyon, to the care teams and to the Art For Science artists, and congratulations to all the partners, including AGG Print who printed these panels.

As a partner, we are proud to support Art For Science projects and to share them with you
