Print the templates at full size, 100%.
Cut the windows and doors of the front templates.
Transfer the templates on the 3 black foamboards.
PLEASE NOTE: there is one template for front 1 and a similar template for fronts 2 and 3.
Using a pencil, trace the shapes of the roofs, windows, and doors.
Cut and hollow out the elements of the 3 fronts using the precision cutter.
Cut the rest of downloaded templates.
Construction of the structure of the calendar:
Cut two ‘staircase’ structures using the template on 2 white foam board of 5mm.
Glue the top three sections of the “staircase” using the TAC glue sheet.
Place the trays on the ends of the glued sections of the stairs to create the structure.
This produces a stepped support.
Stick a layer on the back of your three front panels.
Cut all the elements of the fronts using the precision cutter.
You can mix and match between white foam board and Kraft foam board as you wish.
Glue the windows and door frames on the fronts.
Creating snow on roofs:
Transfer the shape of the roofs on Airplac CORE sheet.
Draw and cut a wavy shape with the precision cutter to represent snow.
To add a touch of volume to the snow, use the precision cutter to sculpt the foam to give it a bevelled 3D appearance.
Stick snow on all the roofs.
Decorating the fronts:
Stick the numbers on the windows and doors.
For a little extra magic, you can add some golden elements, such as stars.
Stick the Christmas tree on the ends of the front 1.
Attaching the fronts:
Glue the front panels on the base of the calendar structure.
Making the candle holders:
Cut the templates x2
Using the TAC glue sheet, stick the two parts together to create a right-angled support.
Using the TACglue sheet, stick the support behind your fronts 2 and 3 so that you can put the LED candles.
Light the LED candles as the days of December pass by.
