Download and print the vase templates at full size by clicking the link above.
Transfer these shapes onto the Airplac Kraft, White, and CORE boards.
To transfer the templates, either use tracing paper or cut out the printed shapes to use them as patterns.
Aligning the templates with the corners of each sheet helps save material.
Cut out all the elements using a precision cutter, a metal ruler, and the cutting mat. Make sure to cut each thickness perfectly perpendicular to the board.
For straight lines, use the metal ruler.
For curved lines, follow the traced line freehand, carefully, keeping the blade perpendicular to the cutting surface at all times.
For curved shapes, insert the cutter blade into the foam board and rotate the board itself around the blade, following the traced curve.
This method gives you better control and produces a cleaner, smoother cut.
Once all the cuts are made, you can finish them by running the flat of your fingernail along the foam-board edges to smooth and clean them.
Using a brush and white glue, coat the back of arch B, then glue it onto the front of arch C, making sure the outer edges are perfectly aligned.
Using the same method, glue the back of arch A onto the front of arch B.
Using the TAC self-adhesive sheet, assemble the side panels E and E’ with the back panel E’’.
To do this:
Place one edge of the back panel E’’ onto the TAC sheet to apply adhesive to it.
Press this edge firmly against the bottom of side panel E, making sure everything is aligned at a right angle.
Repeat the process by applying adhesive to the exposed edge of back panel E’’, then glue it to the bottom of side panel E’.
Using the same method, assemble side panels F and F’ with the back panel F’’.
Using the TAC self-adhesive sheet, apply adhesive to the edges of both U-shaped pieces.
Glue these U-shaped pieces to the back of arch D, positioning them at the bottom and centered between the legs of the arch.
Apply TAC adhesive to the remaining edges of pieces E and F.
Position the assembled arches A, B, and C against pieces E and F, making sure that arches C and D are perfectly aligned.
Slide a soliflore into each of the E and F structures.
Carefully fill the soliflores with water, taking care not to spill any onto the foam board.
Arrange a small flower bouquet in each soliflore.
Steps 11 and 12 are optional if you are using dried flowers, which do not require water.
